Dissolved air flotation (DAF) equipment for wastewater treatment applications, delivering proven suspended (TSS) solids and FOG removal. H2FLOW DAF TECHNOLOGY H2Flow's Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) technology is a highly efficient treatment system designed to remove Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Fats Oils and Grease (FOGs), Insoluble Biological Oxygen Demand (BODi), and other contaminants from wastewater. This advanced process is widely utilized across various industries, including municipal water and wastewater treatment, food and beverage plants, petrochemicals, electronics, pulp & paper, mining, and more. Key Features and Benefits High Efficiency: Capable of removing up to 95% of TSS and FOGs. Compact Footprint: Requires less space compared to traditional sedimentation systems. Flexibility: Can be tailored to various flow rates and types of contaminants. Ease of Operation: Automated controls and user-friendly interfaces simplify operation and maintenance. Cost-Effective: Reduces the amount of chemistry needed and minimizes sludge production, lowering overall treatment costs. Markets Served Municipal Wastewater Transportation and Rail Oil and Gas Power Generation Water Treatment Mining Recycling Facilities Automotive Food and Beverage Electronics Biogas Sludge Thickeners Principal of Operation The core principle of DAF involves the introduction of air bubbles into the wastewater. These bubbles attach to the suspended particles, causing them to float to the surface. The floated materials are then skimmed off, resulting in cleaner effluent. The key components and stages of the DAF process are: Pressurization and Air/water saturation Distribution of dissolved air Flotation Skimming and sludge removal Air is mixed with the effluent stream of water at a high pressure to create a high concentration air/water mixture The pressurized air-water mixture is released into the flotation tank at atmospheric pressure, forming microbubbles that rapidly float to the surface. The mixture is injected at strategic locations to interact with the solids. The Microbubbles attach to the suspended particles, causing them to rise to the surface, and form a sludge blanket. The floated materials are skimmed off, while the clarified water is discharged from the center of the unit. Heavy materials, will settle at the bottom and will be combined with the surface sludge for discharge. DAF MODELS Alpha Series The Alpha flotation units are designed to treat wastewater with high solids loading. The open style arrangement makes maintenance simple, but does take up more footprint than a compact unit. FLOW RANGE 5 - 180 m³/hr (22 - 800 gpm) Delta Series The Delta Series DAF systems use plate-pak technology to squeeze the highest possible surface area in the smallest footprint. Ideal for existing facilities where space is tight. FLOW RANGE 5 - 180 m³/hr (22 - 800 gpm) Gamma Series The Gamma flotation units are designed to treat wastewater with light to medium solids loading and very high flows. FLOW RANGE 225 - 600 m³/hr (990 - 2,425 gpm) PWL Series The PWL flotation units are designed to treat wastewater with medium to high solids loading, and moderate to large flows. FLOW RANGE 200 - 260 m³/hr (880 - 1,150 gpm) Sigma Series The Sigma flotation unit is designed to treat wastewater with high flows and solids loading. FLOW RANGE 500 - 1,000 m³/hr (22,000 - 4,400 gpm) DAF RENTAL UNITS H2Flow’s DAF rental units provide a flexible, turnkey solution for temporary or emergency wastewater treatment needs. Available in outdoor heated containers or skid-mounted packages, they require only electrical connections and inlet/outlet hookups for rapid deployment. Additional rental options include screens, pumps, tanks, and dewatering equipment, giving you a complete, ready-to-use treatment system. Containerized DAF Systems H2Flow’s containerized DAF systems are fully equipped for outdoor operation, with heating and ventilation for all-season performance. Each unit comes complete with controls and chemical feed equipment and can treat up to 10 m³/hr. Designed for flexibility, they can be installed in remote locations with ease. Skid Mounted DAF Systems H2Flow’s skid-mounted systems come as a complete, ready-to-go package, minimizing installation time. Simply place the unit on a factory floor, connect utilities, and begin treatment immediately. Each system includes controls and can handle flows of up to 15 m³/hr. ADDITIONAL DAF EQUIPMENT Sludge & Equalization Tanks Sludge tanks provide storage to allow for scheduled removal, while equalization tanks help manage process spikes, ensuring consistent and reliable treatment. Recirculation Pumps Recirculation pump drive the system, producing the microbubbles that lift solids in combination with the saturation tank and air distribution system, keeping the DAF performing efficiently. Without it, solids would simply settle. Sludge Dewatering Sludge dewatering significantly reduces the water content of solids, cutting their volume by 70% or more. This not only streamlines handling and storage but also lowers costs by reducing the frequency and expense of sludge haulage. Efficient dewatering keeps your wastewater operations more economical and sustainable. Control & Automation The PLC panel is the brain of the DAF system, managing the recirculation pump, air feed, skimmer drive, chemical dosing, automated valves, and more. Its configurable settings allow operators to optimize system performance, while optional remote access provides convenient monitoring and control from anywhere. Sludge Handling Pumps DAF sludge handling pumps are designed to efficiently transfer and manage the thickened solids produced in the flotation process. Built for reliability and durability, they handle abrasive and viscous sludge with ease, helping maintain smooth operation and reducing maintenance in wastewater treatment systems. Pipe Flocculators Pipe flocculators use hydraulic power to mix chemicals inline before wastewater enters the DAF. They control pH, add coagulants, and provide gentle polymer mixing to preserve floc formation, all while eliminating the need for multiple tanks and mixers. Efficient, compact, and reliable, they streamline chemical treatment in modern wastewater systems. Contact us for more info!

  • Trojan UV | H2Flow Equipment Inc.

Trojan UV equipment for water and wastewater treatment plants, featuring validated ultraviolet disinfection systems for regulatory compliance. TROJAN UV DISINFECTION AND AOP H2Flow Equipment represents Trojan UV Systems in Ontario municipally and across Canada industrially. Trojan UV Technologies is a leading provider of ultraviolet (UV) treatment solutions for water and wastewater applications. Key Features and Benefits Microbiological Inactivation via Ultraviolet Light: UV light occupies the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum between X-rays and visible light. A specific range of UV wavelengths (between 200 and 300 nanometers) is capable of inactivating microorganisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. UV treatment provides rapid, effective inactivation of microorganisms through a physical process. How UV Light Treats Water: Unlike standard incandescent bulbs, UV lamps contain a small amount of mercury vapor.
