CLARIFICATION
Clarification, also known as sedimentation, is a fundamental step in both wastewater and drinking water treatment. In this process, suspended solids (TSS) are removed from water by allowing them to settle out under gravity within a clarifier basin, often supported by mechanical collection systems.
Because treatment objectives and plant configurations vary, clarification systems must be carefully selected to ensure reliable solids removal and efficient operation. A wide range of primary, secondary, and tertiary clarifier technologies are available, designed to deliver dependable performance, durability, and long-term operational efficiency.
