TERTIARY TREATMENT
Tertiary treatment is the final polishing step in the wastewater treatment process, designed to meet stringent discharge limits and protect receiving waters. At this stage, the focus shifts to the effective removal of remaining total suspended solids (TSS) and nutrients, particularly phosphorus, which can contribute to algae growth and eutrophication. By integrating reliable solids separation with optimized chemical dosing and process control, tertiary treatment systems ensure regulatory compliance while enhancing overall plant performance and environmental stewardship.

TECHNOLOGIES
Ovivo ultraBLOX SiC Ultrafiltration
The ultraBLOX SiC ultrafiltration membrane delivers high-quality tertiary treatment through 0.1 µm pores that block bacteria, pathogens, and suspended solids, producing reuse-ready effluent with minimal disinfection. With optional in-line coagulant dosing, it also removes phosphorus and heavy metals.
Robust and chemically resistant, the system resists fouling, operates automatically with remote monitoring, and achieves fluxes 3–5× higher than conventional membranes, reducing footprint. ultraBLOX is available as plug-and-play units for small flows or customized solutions for larger plants, and can be retrofitted into existing infrastructure to lower project costs and downstream treatment needs.
Nuove Energie Disc Filter
The Ultrascreen® Generation 3 Disc Filter sets a new standard in tertiary wastewater treatment, combining durable stainless steel construction with advanced filtration technology to deliver exceptional effluent quality and support water reuse.
Powered by Dynamic Tangential Filtration®, it captures fine particles that conventional systems often miss—ensuring reliable, high-performance solids removal.
Designed for above-ground or in-tank installation, the fully autonomous system is easy to operate, simple to maintain, and seamlessly integrates into existing treatment plants.
Parkson DynaSand® EcoWash®
The Parkson Corporation DynaSand® EcoWash® Filter builds on the proven DynaSand platform by combining continuous filtration with intermittent sand washing. This approach significantly reduces reject water, enhances filtration performance, extends airlift life, and lowers maintenance requirements.
An integrated sand movement detection system, monitored in the control room, ensures reliable operation, while optimized airlift design maintains consistent media movement. Backwash cycles are controlled by differential pressure or timer settings and can be adjusted to match plant influent conditions. EcoWash® incorporates Parkson’s patent-pending technology.
